ABOUT US

Founded in 1995, the Carrefour des aînés de Pierrefonds is a bilingual meeting place where more than 1000 senior members enjoy numerous leisure activities that provide an opportunity to have fun, learn and meet new friends in a pleasant, peaceful and safe environment.

Transportation :

The CARREFOUR is easily accessible by public transportation.
     Bus # 68 -: René-Émard stop on Pierrefonds Blvd.
     Bus # 205 -: René-Émard stop at Gouin Blvd.

Members and visitors traveling by car have free access to our large parking facilities.

Our objectives are as follows:

  • To foster a positive attitude towards aging;
  • To heighten public awareness regarding seniors;
  • To contribute to the quality of life and the continuation of good health of aging and/or aged person;
  • To enhance the know-how and experience of seniors;
  • To develop mutual aid networks between generations;
  • To promote group participation of seniors to services offered to them, to make them aware of the necessity to participate in the social and community life;
  • To forestall certain aging effects by promoting activities allowing Seniors to stay alert physically and intellectually;
  • To allow seniors to manage services and activities to reduce the impact of certain problems caused by the loss of autonomy;
  • To help seniors fight idleness, loneliness and isolation;
  • To respect the privilege of the seniors to choose there way of life.
